    Position SummaryThe Career Counsellor (Contractor) will play a key role in advancing Student Catalyst Gateway’s™ mission to create equitable, culturally responsive pathways from education to employment. This role is ideal for a skilled and empathetic professional who can blend one-on-one career counselling with group facilitation to empower post-secondary students, particularly Indigenous, International, and Racialized learners to achieve their academic and professional goals. Working closely with the SCG™ team, the Career Counsellor will provide tailored guidance on career exploration, job search strategies, and workplace readiness, while contributing to the design and delivery of FutureProof™ eModules, workshops, and wraparound supports that help students confidently navigate the transition into meaningful work.
    Key Responsibilities Provide career counselling to students, including career exploration, resume/cover letter review, interview prep, and job search strategies. Facilitate workshops and webinars on employability skills and career readiness. Support students in identifying academic and professional pathways aligned with their goals. Maintain accurate records of student engagement and progress. Collaborate with SCG team members to integrate advising into eModules and workshops.
    Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Career Development, Education, HR, Psychology, or related field(master’s preferred). Minimum 3 years’ experience in career advising or counselling. Strong knowledge of Canadian labour market trends, employment resources, and career development tools. Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills. Ability to work with diverse and equity-deserving student populations.

    Position SummaryStudent Catalyst Gateway (SCG) is seeking a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to support international students, graduates, and newcomers navigating Canadian immigration processes. The contractor will provide authorized representation and advice, prepare applications, and ensure compliance with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)requirements.
    Key Responsibilities Provide individualized consultation and services on study permits, post-graduation work permits, work permits, permanent residency pathways, and related immigration matters. Prepare, review, and submit immigration applications and support documentation on behalf of SCG clients in compliance with IRCC regulations. Deliver group information sessions and workshops on immigration policies and updates. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements under the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). Collaborate with SCG to integrate accurate immigration information into eModules, student resources, and referral pathways. Stay current on immigration law, policies, and procedural changes, ensuring students receive timely and accurate guidance.
    Qualifications Must be a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). Minimum 2–3 years’ professional experience advising on immigration pathways for students and newcomers. Demonstrated ability to prepare, review, and submit IRCC applications. Strong cross-cultural communication skills and commitment to equity-deserving learners. Experience working with post-secondary students, international graduates, or settlement services preferred.

    Position SummaryStudent Catalyst Gateway™ (SCG™) is seeking a Résumé & Interview Coach (Contractor) to support students and job seekers in building confidence and skills for competitive applications and interviews. This casual contractor role will provide one-on-one and group coaching in résumé development, cover letter writing, and interview preparation. Services are delivered virtually on an as-needed basis, depending on student sign-ups and program demand.
    Key Responsibilities Deliver personalized coaching sessions on résumé and cover letter writing, tailoring documents to specific industries and roles Provide one-on-one and group interview coaching, including mock interviews, role play, and targeted feedback Develop practical resources, tips, and strategies for different interview formats (behavioral, situational, panel, case, and virtual) Collaborate with Career Advisors to align résumé and interview preparation with overall career development pathways Track student progress and provide clear, constructive, and encouraging feedback
    Qualifications Professional background in HR, Recruitment, Career Services, or a related field Minimum 2–3 years of experience in résumé development, interviewing, or coaching interview skills Strong knowledge of résumé best practices, competency-based and situational interview methods Excellent facilitation and coaching skills with diverse learners, including equity-deserving students
    Ability to provide actionable, empathetic, and confidence-building feedback

    Position SummaryStudent Catalyst Gateway (SCG) is recruiting two Licensed Therapists to support the mental health and well-being of all students we serve, including Indigenous, international, and racialized students post-secondary students, and within the equity-deserving populations. This contractor role is integral to SCG’s holistic model, offering culturally responsive counselling services that complement our career, immigration, leadership, and settlement supports.
    Key Responsibilities Provide individual counselling sessions to students managing stress, anxiety, cultural adjustment, identity development, systemic barriers, or career transition challenges. Facilitate group wellness workshops on topics such as resilience, stress management, and community care. Develop and maintain referral pathways to community and culturally relevant mental health resources (e.g., Indigenous healing supports, newcomer settlement services, racialized wellness practitioners). Contribute insights for SCG’s wellness-focused eModules, ensuring they are trauma-informed and culturally grounded. Ensure confidentiality, safety, and ethical practice in all counselling engagements.
    Contractor Terms Engagement is on a casual, as-needed basis. Hours will be scheduled depending on student sign-ups and program demand. Compensation will be provided per session, workshop, or agreed service delivery.
    Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or related field. Licensed or registered therapist in Manitoba (or ability to practice cross-provincially). Minimum 3 years’ counselling experience, with demonstrated ability to work across Indigenous, racialized, newcomer, and international student communities. Skilled in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive practices. Strong communication and empathy skills, with ability to support students facing systemic barriers.
