Our Student Ambassador Program is your opportunity to represent SCG, amplify our mission, and grow as a leader in your community.

Program Overview

The Student Catalyst Gateway™ (SCG) Student Ambassador Program empowers post-secondary students, particularly Indigenous, International, and Racializedlearners, to act as peer leaders and representatives of SCG. Ambassadors serve as a bridge between students, employers, and SCG’s mission of supporting equitable career pathways. Ambassadors gain leadership experience, while employers and institutions benefit from direct engagement with talented, career-ready students.

      Build visibility and awareness of SCG’s services among student populations

      Provide students with leadership, networking, and professional development opportunities

      Strengthen employer-student connections through events, outreach, and peer engagement

      Position SCG as a trusted partner in education-to-employment pathways

      Represent SCG at career fairs, recruitment events, and employer showcases

      Promote SCG programs and eModules on campus and across social media platforms

      Deliver presentations, info sessions, and peer-to-peer engagement activities

      Collect student feedback to inform SCG programming and partnerships

      Training with orientation on SCG’s mission, eModules, and outreach tools

      Commitment of 3 to 5 hours per month, flexible around student schedules

      Mentorship through access to SCG coaches, career advisors, and employer mentors

      Duration of one academic year, with renewal opportunities

      Student Impact – Number of students engaged at events, workshops, or through social media campaigns, feedback on awareness and usefulness of SCG services

      Employer Engagement – Number of employer partnerships facilitated throughambassador activities and feedback from employers on candidate quality

      Ambassador Development – Growth in skills through self-reflections and evaluations, ambassadors securing internships or jobs through program networking

      Visibility & Reach – Social media impressions and engagement from ambassador-led campaigns, attendance and participation at SCG-hosted or co-hosted events
